trading junk for jewels
Good morning, this morning's commute to work was rather engaging. Some people on the bus discussed Presidents Obama's speech that was yesterday and I find it all too sad. Parents did want their children to hear him speak because they feel that politics should be kept out of school. When you stop to think about it, politics is already in schools. Children learn about the history of the United States and the world along with prominent historical figures and many of those were *gasp* politicians. Children learn about the past presidents. Also what about school elections and school council. Are those not forms of politics or are we just supposed to assume that really they are popularity contests? And one more thing, why are children not allowed to watch the President, but yet they can watch so much reality television?
