an afternoon in the LRC can be peaceful
I won a cotton candy maker at the yearly employee christmas party. Last year, I won a flashlight. Your name is drawn from a bag. So what are the odds of winning a prize two years in a row? Actually during the ceremony it dawned upon me that this may be my fourth time at the event. In 2004 and 2005, I worked for the catering that caters their event. So I may have been one of the people serving them food. I did not recognize any of the servers. I kind of miss working for Aramark Catering. I met so many cool people and I really enjoyed meeting the foreign exchange students. I met a few people from France. Actually it really excites me to know people who live in other countries across the globe.
After the ceremony/festivities, I visited the Political Science office. I spoke with Pam, the secretary and was in awed at how the place looks different. I worked as their webmaster for many years. I miss that position as well. I really enjoyed the interactions I had with many of the professors and I wish I had gotten to know more of them.
So anyhow, I am in the LRC. I am about to head home since the lab is about to close. I am one of few people in the lab so it is all peaceful.
