a further exploration into my mind that has been cut short by my duty to work like a machine on images for schools
On the bus this morning, I started reading Ice Haven. It is a comic strip novel by Daniel Clowes. The book's contents were originally published as the comic book Eightball #22 and were subsequently reformatted to make the hardcover Ice Haven book. Daniel Clowes is the guy responsible for the Ghost World graphic novel and he is set to work with Michel Gondry (director of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) on a film. Clowes would write the screenplay and Gondry would direct. That should be interesting. Anyhow, I was reading Ice Haven on the bus to work. It made me think about how much I miss reading comics and graphic novels. I was never into those hero comic (no offense to those of course). I can actually remember a day back in 2001 or 2002 when Lucas Antoniak (I think I spelled his name right) and I were discussing this. He had a comic series in the Sidelines paper called Burnt Orange Peel. I need to get back into reading comics. I think inspire me to get more into what I want to do. I want to create art. I enjoy how comics are kind of the middle point between film and literature. I have such an imaginative mind and my endeavor into this hybrid of visual imagery and animation will allow me to explore this. Alas, my writing this morning needs to be cut short. I must start working like a machine on images for schools. I will discuss more later. Thank you Johnny for commenting on my words. I usually hear from the m. blinky as well. I am sure to him from you as well. -
