catching up with graphic novels and speeches

In the past few days, I have read Ice Haven and David Boring. Now I am in the midst of reading Fell, a comic book written by Warren Ellis and illustrated by Ben Templesmith. I have the graphic novel that collects issues 01-09. The artwork is wonderful. If it were not for the corruption and unease of the context of the novel, I could easily visualize myself in the many images. Oh yeah, I must discuss the great opportunity that has been given to me. First of all, I might be the web person for the Political Science department once again. The details are being ironed out. Also tomorrow, I have my orientation at the downtown library. I will be volunteering there. I may even have a chance at teaching a computer class. That would be very thrilling. There is so much that I want to discuss. I spend my day working on stupid images all day long and my words become backed up and I just need to keep updating this online journal on a more consistent basis. It is not like me to neglect this site. There is so much happening. I have listened to the many speeches that were given at this week's Democratic Convention. I was very much inspired by Michelle Obama's speech. Later this morning, I will listen to Barack Obama's speech. You can download them from the NPR web site. The links to Obama's speech is http://www.npr.org/ templates/ story/ story.php?storyId=94087570. I will have to use another post to explain my epiphany I had about being an American of African decent.
