a discussion on moods 01
Here is the post I had promised. A couple days ago, April and I were talking about how certain sections of your life moods for it. And I was thinking about it and have been thinking about it. I think the biggest thing for me is music. I can hear James Ingram "I Don't Have the Heart" and I am taken back to sometime in October of 1990. I was in the 7th grade and there was this one class that I was taking and we listened to Y107 (which today is called The River) and that song was played on that station a lot. So that song became imprinted for that time period. So music can be a part of what sets a mood for a specific time period. Movies can do the same. In January 1992, I used to watch
Terminator 2 so much and of course, I would cry at the end when the Terminator terminates himself, but nowadays when I watch that movie, it hits me and I realize how much time has changed so much. I think about how my room was arranged when I watched it. How I would sit a cassette tape recorder in front of the television to record scenes from the movie. This topic is way too much for me to type in one entry...look for more to follow
