Ailing Cuban leader Fidel Castro said today that he will not return to lead the country, retiring as head of state 49 years after he seized power in an armed revolution....A new state emerged from the long and bloody unraveling of Yugoslavia when the Serbian province of Kosovo declared independence on Sunday... Toshiba announced today that is abandoning its HD DVD format. Wow...look at the many changes happening in the world today. New doors are opening and others are closing. i stand at the doorway (if i had longer hair, the wind would be blowing my dreads all over the place) looking at all of the flying debris. As I walked from the bus stop this morning, flying debris was all around. As each flake flew around me, some stuck to my nose and eyelashes. I suppose that it is finally winter. I barely made it to the bus stop, luckily the bus driver saw me and so she waited for me to safely cross the street to get on the bus. I calmly said thank you as I placed my fare into the money box. I quietly took my seat with hashbrowns in my hand wrapped in napkins. The warming on the wall reading "do not eat on the bus" prevented me from eating until I was standing outside of the next bus at the downtown hub. i think that is all that is needed to be said for this morning. i will now...
